   CLO 1: Within this subject, the student deeply studies the types of explosives, their properties, and the mechanisms of rock disintegration during explosion. at the end of the course, the student is able to design blasting operations, place wells and calculate blasting networks in open and underground mining operations. the subject covers the impact of blast shock waves on the rock mass and the control of vibration levels. in addition, safety rules in blasting, storage and transportation of explosives are mastered. thus, the student has the necessary knowledge to carry out economically and technically efficient blasting works.
