About the subject
Fənn tələbələrə dağ-mədən sənayesinin inkişaf tarixi, fundamental əsasları və müasir istehsalat texnologiyaları haqqında ilkin baza anlayışlarını verir. faydalı qazıntıların axtarışı, çıxarılması və ilkin emalı zəncirinin ümumi mərhələləri, bu proseslərdə tətbiq edilən konseptual mühəndislik həlləri nəzərdən keçirilir. i̇xtisasın əsas mahiyyəti, mədən mühəndisinin karyera imkanları, vəzifələri və sənayedəki rolu detallı şəkildə izah edilir. həmçinin, sənaye obyektlərinin təhlükəsiz istismarı, əməyin mühafizəsi və qlobal xammal iqtisadiyyatında sektorun strateji əhəmiyyəti xüsusi olaraq vurğulanır.

Course learning outcomes (CLO)
CLO 1: At the end of the subject, the student has a broad idea of the history of the mining industry, its current situation and its role in the economic development of mankind. the student gets acquainted with the main types of mining technologies (open and underground) and the main tasks of engineers working in this field. the course covers the components of the mining production cycle in general – drilling, blasting, loading, transportation and beneficiation. the student receives basic knowledge about professional ethics, principles of environmental protection and safety culture in mining engineering. thus, the student is equipped with the motivation and initial technical base necessary for future professional activity.
Topic plan

Features of mining operations carried out by open (quarry), underground (frost) and combined methods. special extraction technologies from underwater and geochemical (dissolving) methods.
- 6.History of mining in the territory of azerbaijanLecture
Formation of mining in the territory of azerbaijan in ancient and medieval times (dashkasan, gadabay, karabakh zones). ancient copper, gold and iron production furnaces, historical mining traces.
- 7.Minerals Lecture
Classification of solid, liquid and gaseous minerals. their grouping according to industrial application (fuel, metal ores, non-metallic industrial raw materials) and physical-mechanical properties.
- 8.Mining methods and separate technological processesLecture
Scientific bases of decisive technological processes such as drilling, blasting, loading and transportation (transportation) carried out sequentially during the exploitation of deposits.
- 9.Preparation operations of ores for beneficiationLecture
Acceptance of the mined mountain mass into the factory, step-by-step crushing, grinding and classification. physical and mechanical preparation works that ensure the effectiveness of enrichment.
