About the subject
Xüsusi kompüter proqramları əsasında yeni materialların dizaynı” fənni yeni materialların (metal, keramika, polimer, kompozit və s.) xassə–struktur–proses əlaqələri əsasında rəqəmsal mühitdə layihələndirilməsini öyrədir. kurs çərçivəsində materialların modelləşdirilməsi və simulyasiyası, məlumat əsaslı yanaşmalar, optimallaşdırma, faza diaqramları və mikroyapı proqnozu üçün ixtisaslaşmış proqram təminatlarından istifadə prinsipləri təqdim edilir. tələbələr praktik tapşırıqlar vasitəsilə məqsədli xassələrə uyğun material seçimi, parametrlərin təyini, nəticələrin təhlili və hesabatlaşdırma bacarıqları formalaşdırırlar.

Course learning outcomes (CLO)
CLO 1: The subject "design of materials based on special computer programs" teaches students to design new materials using modern digital tools and simulations. students acquire skills in using specialized software (such as ansys, matlab, thermo-calc, or molecular dynamics programs) to model the behavior of materials at the atomic, molecular, and macro levels. during the course, the mechanical, thermal and physical properties of materials are tested and optimized in a virtual environment before real production. in conclusion, students gain the ability to design innovative materials in a computer environment from scratch, saving time and resources, according to the requirements of the industry.
Topic plan

Classification and properties of materials. factors to consider when choosing materials. study of temperature dependence of structural changes in nanoparticles by molecular dynamics (md) calculation method.
- 2.Design principles of materialsLecture
Discussion of the application aspects of the fundamental concepts of material design, refinement of the processing-structure-property relationship on tasks.
- 3.Cad, cam, CEA concepts and solidworks interface.Lecture
Differences of engineering programs (cad, cam, cae). familiarity with solidworks user interface, construction of 2d sketches (sketch) and geometric measurement operations.
- 4.Solidworks: export, model naming and versioning.Lecture
Export of 3d models in STEP format for integration with other programs (especially CAE programs). model naming and version control rules.

Creating base 3d models by extruding 2d sketches and cutting material (cut). specifying the correct file-unit (mm-q-sec) system.
- 9.Solidworks: assembly practice and interference checking.Lecture
Implementation of practical simple mechanical assemblies in an assembly environment. detection and elimination of physical collisions between parts (interference detection).
- 10.Classification of alloys: substitution and inclusion solid solutions.Lecture
Types of metal alloys. analysis of structural properties of solid solutions of substitution (atoms of similar volume) and inclusion (atoms of small radius) at the atomic level.
- 11.Entropy and size factor combinations.Lecture
The role of system entropy in the creation of new types of materials (for example, high-entropy alloys). effects of atomic radius differences (size factor) on crystal structure and phase stability.
- 12.Thermodynamic and mechanical states of materials.Lecture
Thermodynamic and mechanical regularities of the reaction of materials to external and internal influences (heat and stress). state diagrams and phase transitions.
