About the programme
050623 – bachelor's degree program in materials engineering aims to provide students with professional knowledge and skills in the field of materials science (crystallography, physics of materials, materials technology, recycling of materials, design of new materials based on special computer programs) based on fundamental disciplines (mathematical analysis, physical chemistry, general physics, mechanics). the program consists of general subjects, specialized subjects, subjects determined by the higher education institution and internship work, teaching is conducted by student-oriented methods (lecture, laboratory and seminar), is completed with experience in state enterprise or research laboratories, and graduates get the opportunity to work in production, scientific-research institutes and industrial enterprises where knowledge of materials is required.
Degree requirements
The educational program must be prepared in accordance with the law of the republic of azerbaijan "on education", the relevant decisions of the cabinet of ministers and the classification of specialties at the bachelor's level of higher education, and must be mandatory for all higher education institutions operating in this specialty in the republic of azerbaijan. learning outcomes for each subject and program should be defined, teaching and evaluation methods should be clearly reflected in the syllabuses. the higher education institution must have the necessary infrastructure (laboratories, auditoriums with multimedia equipment, electronic library, access to the internet) and professors and teachers of the appropriate scientific degree, a contract must be concluded with the relevant institution for the internship, and the program must be completed with the evaluation of the internship report.
