Description
The subject "fundamentals of organic synthesis" presents the general methodology, strategy and tactics of organic synthesis, retrosynthetic planning rules for the synthesis of mono- and polyfunctional compounds and their application in the example of the synthesis of medicinal, aromatic, food and taste compounds, plant protection agents, pheromones, dyes and flotomaterials.
Course learning outcomes
CLO 1: It explains the basic concepts, methodology, strategy and tactics of organic synthesis.
CLO 2: It applies the principles of retrosynthetic planning of mono- and polyfunctional organic compounds and develops synthesis routes.
CLO 3: Analyzes organic synthesis reactions according to the influence of reagents, catalysts and reaction conditions and chooses the optimal synthesis method.
CLO 4: Evaluates the synthesis processes of pharmaceuticals, flavorings, food and flavor compounds, plant protection agents, pheromones, dyes and fluororeagents and justifies their application areas.
CLO 5: Evaluating organic synthesis processes in terms of safety, productivity, economic efficiency and environmental protection, it offers suitable technological solutions.
CLO 6: Apply theoretical knowledge of organic synthesis to solve chemical engineering problems, analyze synthesis results and make scientifically based decisions.
