Course learning outcomes (CLO)

  1. CLO 1: This subject provides an in-depth study of production technologies of ferrous metals from raw materials to finished products. students will learn to analyze the physicochemical basis of cast iron production in blast furnaces and the successive phase transformations that take place. also, the technological control mechanisms of steelmaking processes in converter and electric arc furnaces will be mastered. upon completion of the course, students will have the skills to identify the causes of defects in manufacturing processes and optimize the final microstructure of the metal.
