   CLO 1: The general learning outcomes of the "materials science" subject provide students with a deep understanding of the relationships between the internal structure of various materials and their mechanical and physical properties. students are able to analyze the properties of metals, polymers, ceramics and composites and classify them according to engineering requirements. during the course, they learn to determine the properties of materials through laboratory tests and freely choose the most effective material for real projects. at the same time, they are able to apply appropriate protection methods by evaluating the deterioration mechanisms such as corrosion and wear that the materials are exposed to during operation. in the end, this complex knowledge gained allows future specialists to make optimal and safe decisions in production, both technically and economically.
