General information about mass exchange processes. the basic equation of mass transfer, material balance of mass exchange processes. the driving force of the mass exchange process. basic laws of mass exchange. material balance and kinetic laws of absorption. phase equilibria in liquid-vapor systems. principles of rectification. the process of membrane separation of mixtures. membranes. kinetics of membrane separation of mixtures. filtration, gas and liquid filters, filtering centrifuges
Course learning outcomes
CLO 1: Explains the theoretical basis of mass transfer processes, material balance and driving force
CLO 2: Analyzes the working principles and kinetic laws of absorption, rectification, membrane separation and filtration processes.
CLO 3: Performs engineering calculations based on material balance and phase equilibria for mass transfer processes.
CLO 4: Compares various separation methods (absorption, rectification, membrane separation, filtration) and selects the optimal method for a given technological process.
CLO 5: It explains the working principles of the equipment used in separation processes (absorbers, rectification columns, membrane modules, filters and centrifuges) and evaluates their application areas.
CLO 6: Evaluating the efficiency of separation processes in the chemical industry from a technical, economic and ecological point of view, it makes reasonable proposals for process optimization.
