Course learning outcomes

  1. CLO 1: Explains the basic concepts of mathematical modeling in chemical engineering, classification of models and application principles.

  2. CLO 2: Builds mathematical and statistical models for chemical-technological processes, determines model parameters based on experimental data.

  3. CLO 3: The least squares method evaluates the adequacy of models using empirical formulas and design of experiments methods.

  4. CLO 4: Analyzes mathematical models of processes based on chemical kinetics, heterogeneous processes and various reactor models (ideal mixing, ideal compression, diffusion and cell models).

  5. CLO 5: Modeling, optimizing chemical-technological processes and interpreting the obtained results using computer programs.

  6. CLO 6: Justifies engineering decisions by applying mathematical modeling and optimization methods for scaling and optimal design of chemical-technological facilities.
