Description

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts, methods and applications of adaptive control systems. the course aims to teach students to analyze uncertain and time-varying dynamic systems, design control devices that ensure stability and robustness, and apply adaptive algorithms in both simulated and real environments. throughout the course, students will learn to build models of dynamic plants with unknown or variable parameters, design adaptive controllers that provide stability and robustness, and implement these controllers in the matlab/simulink environment. the course also discusses practical issues such as noise, outliers, parameter drifts, and robustness modifications. in addition to theoretical analysis, through simulations and application examples, the course will provide students with the ability to apply adaptive control methods to a variety of real engineering systems - electrical transmissions, process control, robotics, and aerospace applications.
