About the subject

"introduction to the specialty" subject 050628 is an initial basic subject designed for first-year undergraduate students majoring in "mechanical engineering" and introducing them to their future professional activities. the main goal of teaching the subject is to provide students with fundamental information about the history of mechanical engineering, its development stages, its role in modern production, and its future prospects. within the course, students get acquainted with the general classification of machines and mechanisms, the basic principles of engineering design, and the rules of professional ethics. at the same time, students are taught the structure of other specialized subjects and their importance in engineering creativity. this subject lays the groundwork for future engineers to deeply understand their professional direction, adapt to education, and form a professional mindset.
