Bu kurs yer səthinə yaxın yerləşən faydalı qazıntı yataqlarının açıq üsulla işlənməsi texnologiyalarını və iqtisadi əsaslarını öyrədir. karyerlərin layihələndirilməsi, dağ kütləsinin qazılması, yüklənməsi və nəqli sistemlərinin kəmiyyət və keyfiyyətcə optimallaşdırılması məsələləri dərindən araşdırılır. nəhəng texnoloji avadanlıqların (ekskavatorlar, damperlər) düzgün seçimi, istehsalat tsiklinin ardıcıllığı və idarə olunması təhlil edilir. açıq mədən işlərinin ətraf mühitə təsiri, qazıntıdan sonra torpaqların rekultivasiyası və ekoloji dayanıqlılığın təmin edilməsi metodları ön plana çıxarılır.

   CLO 1: At the end of the subject, the student knows in detail the technologies used for extracting, transporting and storing minerals in quarries. the student acquires the necessary knowledge for the selection and efficient operation of heavy mining equipment (excavators, dumpers, etc.) used in open works. within the framework of the course, the geometric parameters of the quarry, the sequence of layer-by-layer processing and the rules for ensuring the stability of the cheeks are mastered. the subject also covers environmental protection and reclamation measures in open pit mining. the student ultimately has complete engineering training for the design and day-to-day management of open pit mining operations.
