Description

The subject "chemical engineering laboratory i" aims to master the fundamental principles of chemical technology of organic and inorganic substances through practical experiments. the main directions of the subject include: processing of local raw materials: processing of concentrates obtained from alunite and titanium magnetite deposits of azerbaijan and the technology of obtaining industrially important final products from them. modern analysis methods: accurate determination of the composition of substances obtained during technological processes by modern physico-chemical laboratory methods. the aim of the course is to form students' theoretical technological knowledge and the ability to work with modern laboratory equipment.

Course learning outcomes

  1. CLO 1: Explains and correctly applies equipment, devices, and laboratory safety procedures used in a chemical engineering laboratory.

  2. CLO 2: Performs laboratory experiments related to the acquisition and processing of organic and inorganic substances in accordance with relevant methods.

  3. CLO 3: It analyzes the processing processes of the raw materials obtained from the alunite and titanmagnetite deposits of azerbaijan and the characteristics of the products obtained as a result of these processes.

  4. CLO 4: Using modern physico-chemical analysis methods, determines the qualitative and quantitative indicators of the substances received in the laboratory and evaluates the results.

  5. CLO 5: Processes experimental data obtained during laboratory experiments, makes calculations and interprets the results on a scientific basis.

  6. CLO 6: It presents the results of laboratory work in the form of a technical report and justifies the obtained results in terms of chemical technology.
