Description
The subject "technological operations of facilities in chemical engineering" is taught on the following topics: brief history of the development of the oil refining industry. classification of oil and oil products. options for processing oils. preparation of oils for processing. double evaporation unit. dewatering and desalination atmospheric-vacuum units (euds-avg) operated by electric method based on american and korean projects. types and characteristics of destructive processing processes. catalytic cracking unit. catalytic reforming. the main purpose of the process. the process of hydrogenation. gasifiers of the type (aqfq).
Course learning outcomes
CLO 1: It explains the stages of development of the oil refining industry, the main technological processes and the purpose of production facilities.
CLO 2: Analyzes the working principles, raw materials and products of catalytic cracking, catalytic reforming, visbreaking, coking, hydrogenation and alkylation processes.
CLO 3: Evaluates the structure, working principles and application areas of gas fractionation and absorption-rectification type gasification devices.
CLO 4: Reads technological schemes of oil refining facilities, determines the functions of the main equipment and analyzes the efficiency of the processes.
CLO 5: Evaluating the technical, economic and ecological indicators of oil refining processes, it prepares proposals for optimizing production and reducing the impact on the environment.
CLO 6: Makes technological decisions taking into account safety, energy efficiency and environmental requirements during the operation of chemical engineering facilities.
