Description
The subject "organic chemistry" is taught on the following topics: classification of organic compounds, nomenclature of the main class of organic compounds, methods of preparation, physical and chemical properties, molecular, structural and electronic structures of organic substances, isomerism, spatial structures of organic compounds, methods of obtaining organic compounds in industry and their application, electronic effects of substituents in organic compounds, use of modern physicochemical methods in determining the structure of organic compounds.
Course learning outcomes
CLO 1: It explains the classification, nomenclature, molecular structure and physicochemical properties of the main classes of organic compounds.
CLO 2: Analyzes methods of obtaining organic compounds, chemical transformations and reaction mechanisms.
CLO 3: Evaluates the influence of isomerism, spatial structure and electronic effects on the properties and reactivity of substances in organic compounds.
CLO 4: Uses modern physico-chemical analysis methods to determine the structure of organic compounds and interprets the obtained results.
CLO 5: It justifies the acquisition technologies and application fields of organic compounds suitable for various industrial processes.
CLO 6: Applies theoretical knowledge of organic chemistry to solving chemical engineering problems and makes scientifically sound decisions based on experimental results.
