Description

The subject provides students with the formation of theoretical knowledge and analytical skills on the fundamental concepts and methods of probability theory. mathematical modeling of random events and processes, basic concepts and definitions of probability, probability regularities and their application in solving practical problems are studied within the subject. random quantities, their distribution laws and the calculation of their main numerical characteristics, as well as the application of the main theorems of probability theory, are considered. the principles of analyzing the regularities of mass homogeneous events, collecting and processing statistical data, and evaluating the accuracy and reliability of the results are investigated. within the scope of the subject, the expression of real processes with probabilistic models, the evaluation of the impact of random factors on the results, and the analysis of practical issues using the methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics are studied. the subject is aimed at developing students' abilities to model real situations through probabilistic schemes, to choose appropriate probabilistic methods, to analyze statistical data and to evaluate the reliability of the obtained results.
