Description
This subject teaches the physico-chemical processes occurring in the environment, the chemical properties of the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere, as well as the behavior of pollutants in the environment. within the scope of the subject, the basics of toxicology, classification of toxic substances, mechanisms of toxic effects, toxicokinetics and biotransformation processes, ecotoxicological characteristics of industrial pollutants, as well as the effects of radioactive substances and safety principles are analyzed.
Course learning outcomes
CLO 1: It explains the physico-chemical processes occurring in the environment and the laws of transformation of substances in geospheres.
CLO 2: Analyzes the chemical processes and behavior of pollutants in the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere.
CLO 3: Defines the classification of toxic substances, toxic properties and mechanisms of action on the body.
CLO 4: Assesses toxicological indicators and environmental risks of harmful substances.
CLO 5: Describes toxicokinetics, biotransformation, and effects of radioactive radiation on the environment and living organisms.
CLO 6: Justifies measures aimed at reducing chemical pollution and toxic effects of the environment.
