Description
"mechanics of materials and structures" subject 060630 is one of the fundamental specialization subjects, which is intended for graduate students studying at the master's level in the field of mechanical engineering and includes the optimization and safety of modern engineering structures. the main goal of teaching the subject is to teach undergraduates to study the stress-deformation state of materials and structural elements under various external loads, temperature and aggressive environmental influences using advanced analytical and numerical methods. within the framework of the course, the basics of the theory of elasticity and plasticity, anisotropy of materials, mechanics of composite materials, principles of dispersion mechanics and predicting the longevity of structures are deeply explored from a scientific and theoretical point of view. at the same time, independent research skills are inculcated in stability, digital modeling and optimization of complex engineering structures through the finite element method (fem). this subject forms the in-depth academic competencies necessary for designing competitive and highly reliable constructions with the application of innovative materials in the fields of modern mechanical engineering, aerospace and device manufacturing.
