Description

The subject "mathematical physics" is one of the fundamental subjects intended for graduate students studying 060630 mechanical engineering at the master's level and forming the basis of scientific-research activity. the main goal of teaching the subject is to teach graduate students the methods of constructing, interpreting and researching high-level mathematical models of complex physical-mechanical processes, nonlinear systems and dynamic phenomena. within the framework of the course, the modern theory of special differential equations, correctness of boundary and initial problems, as well as methods of special functions and integral transformations are deeply explored. at the same time, in addition to the analytical solution of scientific problems, the mathematical foundations of variation and finite difference methods applied in modern computer simulations are given ample space. this subject forms the academic knowledge and skills necessary for undergraduates to conduct independent scientific research, mathematically structure complex engineering problems, and develop numerical modeling algorithms.
