Description
"flow mechanics" subject 050628 is one of the fundamental engineering subjects intended for undergraduate students studying "mechanical engineering". the main goal of teaching the subject is to teach students the laws of balance and movement of liquids and gases, as well as the principles of their interaction with solid bodies. the basic equations of hydrostatics, kinematics and hydrodynamics, characteristics of the flow regime in pipelines and channels are studied in depth within the framework of the course. at the same time, the methods of calculating hydraulic resistances and energy losses are widely used in engineering systems. this subject provides future mechanical engineers with fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for the design, analysis and operation of various machines, mechanisms and hydraulic devices.
